I’m continuing to try to paint a portrait of my dog, a Tibetan Terrier (Leia) who we lost to Lymphoma at the beginning of this year. Hair/fur and the like have always posed a problem to me so I went on line and found out about Grainer brushes. I bought a set from Amazon - Fuumuui premium and I’m blown away by them.
Of course practice is needed to get them to work, the right paint, appropriate loading and confident strokes, but I’m enjoying doing the fur.
The picture is in its last stages, I’m going to finish it off with some of the grey ashes of my deceased pal loaded into some white.
I miss my dog and doing the picture is spooking me out a bit but it’s an appropriate homage to her memory me finks!
I’ve included a picture of the stage I’m at with the painting, not much more to do now.
